Really excited to announce that the independent film 'Broken' that I was lucky to be a part of is in it's final stage of editing. Woo hoo! Hopefully a preview will be out before 2013.
Excited and nervous to be getting new headshots this weekend...stay tuned for the results.
This is where you will find news about what the heck is going on with my acting career.

So my McDonald's commercial story. I was called in for the Midwest girl who is supposed to look sweet, natural and not too much makeup...etc...you get the picture. I racked my brain for my most simple outfit and am pleased that I did not have to put on much makeup...I pretty much go Au natural in my daily life. I picked this sweet looking white dress and my brown boots (don't want to look too naive). I feel very Midwest now. side note- besides being given info on look I was not given any other information about the audition...this will come into play in a moment. Anyway I show up and I notice the moment I walked into the holding room no one else seemed to get the memo about sweet and natural. Every girl was super NYC trendy...tight jeans, thick bangs, cat eye makeup and no one weighed more than 105 and that is for the girl who was 5'10". I mean they certainly do not eat big macs or even the light fish fillet. I feel at this moment like a character in that sesame street song "which one of these things are not like the others". So I have at least 20 pounds on all of them and am shorter than most...but hey y'all I am a Midwest kinda girl. We eat steaks, pie and drink beer...but I digress. So I walk up to the moderators and they ask me to sign in, put down my agents name (I don't have one) and then to take the sides (which are in Spanish). Wait did I mention I do not speak Spanish. Ha so I thank them, write- my lonesome self as agent and then take my Spanish sides to the closest bench. It was a commercial shoot for Cafe com Leche...and the dialogue was hysterical. I do my best to figure out the pronunciations and within two minutes have been given my partner who I am supposed to be dating. We go into the room and start out little scene...highlight from the dialogue:
Una Fiesta
Tu Familia?
Yep I know weird series of thoughts but hey there you go. Needless to say even though my partner was great they were not looking for my type (Midwest) because they handed out the stills and the girl in the pictures was super trendy. Ah well- I had a blast doing it (it was my first one).
Music Cue- mmmm I'm lovin it!

I recently finished doing a production of the Island of Dr. Moreau where I was the only girl among burly men (not to shabby). It was a blast doing a purely physical piece where sweating was a sign of achievement and flips and lifts were all apart of the theatrical menu. I recognized that I adore the collaboration of theatre and performing under the stars must be one of my favorite things. Please check out a few pictures below from the production as well as a little review about the "Moreau" experience. Ta Ta for now...because I am off to a McDonald's audition...where they are searching for a Midwest looking girl. I am sure some funny stories will come out of this one.
