Yesterday I had a trial performance of a new show Only Make Believe is wanting to add to our cannon of plays that we do for sick kids. It was a blast and I had a great time playing with my fellow actors and the kids at NAC. For a long time now I knew I wanted to do theatre. That is was my calling. Trying to make the dream come true in NYC can be difficult at best...but I keep on trucking. When I auditioned to become a member of OMB back in 2011... I never thought that I would be chosen from the group of 500. Four actors were selected from that lot and I was lucky to be one of them. This job has changed my life. Really being able to use my art to help children who are sick... to bring a smile to their face...for them to feel like a regular kid for just and hour is humbling. Who needs Broadway when I have got the bright lights of of their hearts and gratitude for coming each week to play with them. Those children are the real starts and their light shines brighter than the great white way.
